At Wall Mural Shop, we operate a sophisticated, just-in-time manufacturing process. Because our wall murals are custom-printed to your specific design choice and wall dimensions, they cannot be resold to other customers once production begins. This policy outlines our cancellation procedures in exhaustive detail to ensure total transparency.
1. Immediate Cancellation Window (The 24-Hour Rule)
We offer a "No-Questions-Asked" cancellation window for 24 hours following the timestamp of your order confirmation.
- Eligibility: Any order (standard or custom-sized) is eligible for a 100% full refund within this period.
- Action Required: You must submit your request via email to contact@wall-mural-shop.com or through our Live Chat within exactly 24 hours of purchase.
- Refund Method: The full amount will be credited back to your original payment method (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, UnionPay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay) within 7 business days (Monday–Saturday).
2. Post-Processing Cancellation (Production Phase)
After the initial 24-hour window, your order moves into the material preparation and digital printing phase. At this stage, high-quality non-woven or vinyl materials are cut and printed using your unique dimensions.
- The 10% Administrative & Material Fee: If you request a cancellation after 24 hours but before the item has been picked up by the courier, we will issue a refund minus a 10% fee.
- Reasoning: This fee is not a penalty; it covers the cost of the specialized ink, the physical wallpaper material that can no longer be used, and the labor costs associated with the file setup and printing process.
3. Cancellation After Shipment (In-Transit Status)
Once an order is handed over to our shipping partners (SunExpress, DHL, or UPS), it is considered "in transit."
- Non-Cancellable Status: We cannot stop, intercept, or redirect a package once it has left our fulfillment center in China.
- Your Option: If you no longer wish to keep the mural, you must allow the delivery to be completed and then initiate a return as per our Return & Refund Policy
- Note: In this scenario, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs and any original shipping fees incurred by the shop.
4. Refusal of Delivery & Unclaimed Packages
- Refused Shipments: If you refuse delivery to avoid a return or because of a change of heart, the carrier may abandon the package or return it to our China facility at a high cost.
- Liability: Wall Mural Shop is not responsible for refused or unclaimed packages. If a refused package is lost or destroyed by the carrier, no refund will be issued. We strongly advise accepting the package and contacting us for a formal return authorization.
5. Automated System Cancellations (Fraud & Security)
To protect our customers, our system automatically scans for high-risk transactions. We reserve the right to cancel an order if:
- Fraud Alert: The payment is flagged as high-risk or fraudulent by our payment processors (Shopify/Stripe).
- Address Issues: The shipping address is incomplete, unverifiable, or located in a region we do not serve (outside the USA and UK).
- Contact Failure: We reach out for verification of a high-value order and receive no response within 48 hours.
- Outcome: In these cases, a 100% full refund is issued immediately, and the customer is notified via email.
6. Technical Errors & Pricing Discrepancies
In rare instances, a technical glitch may result in an incorrect price or an impossible shipping calculation.
- Our Right to Cancel: Wall Mural Shop reserves the right to cancel orders placed under erroneous pricing or "glitched" discount codes.
- Communication: We will explain the error to you and provide the option to repurchase the item at the correct price or accept a full refund.
7. Refund Processing & Financial Timelines
Once a cancellation is formally approved:
- Notification: You will receive a "Refund Notification" email.
- Banking Cycles: Please understand that while we release the funds immediately, your bank or credit card issuer (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.) may take 7 business days (Monday–Saturday) to post the credit to your statement.
- International Fees: Wall Mural Shop is not responsible for any currency conversion fluctuations or "International Transaction Fees" charged by your bank during the refund process.
8. Responsibility for Measurements and Selection
Since we provide a 24-hour cancellation window, it is the customer's responsibility to:
- Ensure wall measurements are correct (height x Width).
- Verify the design and color selection.
- Check that the shipping address is accurate.
- Failure to do so after the 24-hour window will fall under the 10% fee or the "In-Transit" non-cancellation rule.
